It logs the leftmost 600 cells, as work/scripts/qleft.py already does. Agent time is only starting the run and reading the log. "rationale": "Inside an epoch R5 is well understood. Six exact rules pass all their random instances, and the binary-ruler law holds for 37,885 of 37,885 cycle spacings to 1e10. What decides halting is the overflow that comes after the counter has eaten the reservoir and the prefix gadgets, and nobody has seen it. A qsim run that finished after the observe notes were written got 2.8x further than the notes say: 2.33e14 steps in 1,400 s, with no halt. Its log shows the leftmost rewritten cell stuck at index 63 of the left tape from 9.4e13 to 2.3e14 steps, and the 36-cell prefix '0 1^4 (01)^11 1 (10)^4' is intact. qsim's loop count grows like the square root of the step count, so compute alone can probably reach the overflow in 8-24 h. That evidence is worth having before deciding whether the epoch map deserves a proof stage. The run may hit its cap before the overflow; then park, with no agent time lost. No sign of a cryptid so far.",
