"reason": "Class 2 close-out stage 3 of 3 (2026-10-12), joint with #32 (write-up in #32's notes.md): flagged CRYPTID_CANDIDATE, proof work stops. Halting is decided by modular conditions on fuel values at a hierarchy of exhaustions. A regime-I top halts exactly when its fuel N runs out at N = 2 (mod 5) (N = 0..44 from #32's I(N,360): only 2, 7, 12, 17, 22 halt by 1e80). A lower digit that runs out first switches that outcome irregularly (N = 12: 14 of 24 small u1 values halt, 10 do not; N = 11, 13: 0 of 50). Wide-integer simulator c2s3_tsim.c (validated byte for byte against stage 2 to 1e37): R4 no halt to 1e80, first 40 defects frozen from 4.8e17 to 1e80; its top cycle started at N = 27 = 2 (mod 5) and waits behind deep levels. No invariant. Heuristic (random residues) leans to an astronomically late halt, not non-halting. decision.json: stop_cryptid (recommended) / recursive_model / formalize_rules. Stage-2 re-run (2026-10-12): replay of an already-run stage, no new proof work (cryptid protocol, decision pending). Kept simulators reproduce R4's stage-3 dump to 1e80 byte for byte (no halt). New probe on #32's base (same table): the second lower digit also switches the halting outcome, non-monotonically; N = 11/13 0 of 42 halts. Still CRYPTID_CANDIDATE; decision.json unchanged.",
